Advanced Firefighter

When facing a fire, personal safety is the top priority, followed by ensuring the safety of others. This course emphasizes critical decision-making in extraordinary fire situations, ensuring employees:

  • Recognise fire hazards
  • Respond effectively without becoming victims
  • Apply proper firefighting techniques
  • Minimize property damage through prompt, effective action

Given that fire is a leading cause of unnatural deaths and injuries, prevention remains the most effective strategy. The actions taken within the first few minutes of discovering a fire determine its containment or spread—ultimately affecting business continuity and employee safety.

Summative assessment

Written assessment and practical exercise to be completed at the end of the course. Minimum pass mark of 65%.
