Understand the legislation that applies to occupational health and safety; the impact that non-compliance would have in the workplace and understand the inspection protocols applicable to the workplace

Our compliance training providers will enable learners to understand the importance of compliance with safety, health, and environmental legal and other requirements for a specific workplace and the importance of integrating safety, health, and environmental considerations into all routine activities at the workplace. In addition, learners will be able to identify any deviations and workplace safety performance in the workplace from health, safety, and environmental requirements and be able to ensure that the correct action is taken in situations where safety health and environmental issues are not in accordance with requirements.

On completion of the course, the successful learner will be capable of identifying, containing, preventing and extinguishing different types of fires by operating basic firefighting equipment. Clients will gain the essential tools needed from this program to manage fire situations effectively, focusing on emergency safety training courses.

Learners wishing to acquire the competencies in this course will be, individuals working at heights where there is a risk of injury from a fall. Learners will be involved in performing tasks at height. Learners will be able to follow fall arrest principles to perform work at height safely, under the supervision of a qualified supervisor.

First Aid level 1 is the minimum required qualification for all workplaces in South Africa (as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act). The course equips candidates with the basic principles of assessing an emergency situation, and contacting emergency services as quickly as possible while awaiting their arrival. Candidates will be able to perform basic skills required to sustain life. Ensuring the safety and well-being of team members, first aid Level 1 training is critical for every business.

This practical course will provide learners with the necessary tools and skills to enable them to carry out hazard identification and risk assessments in the workplace. The aim of the course is to enable responsible and informed contributions to the health and safety effort in the workplace.

This workplace compliance training is for learners who have to demonstrate the ability to conduct a risk assessment in the workplace

Upon completion of the course, the successful learner will understand how to adopt a detailed but simple approach to incident investigation procedures and techniques.

On completion of the course, the successful learner will be able to explain the requirements for conducting a preliminary investigation, gather information for the preliminary investigation, as well as perform post-investigation activities.

In this course, you will learn what is POPIA and why it has been introduced into law. You will also learn how it affects everyone within a business including yourself, as an employee/r.

AARTO workshops are designed to impart the knowledge of what AARTO is and how it works to all people in your company who hold driving licenses and these workshops deal with a lot more than just AARTO. They also deal with other issues relating to traffic law and driver behaviour and aim to impart a greater understanding of both, a person’s rights and responsibilities as a holder of a driving license.

Upon completion of the course, the learner will have a better understanding of the functions and responsibility of an HSE Representative. The learner will be able to carry out basic inspections and participate in HSE committee procedures.

On completion of the course, the successful learner will be able to identify, evaluate and record safety, health and environmental hazards in their designated work areas, and be able to evaluate the risks attached to operational tasks and processes.

The person credited with this unit standard is able to use gangway signals by selecting the correct position and signal equipment according to operational requirements. As part of their driven machinery training, they are also able to conduct continuous assessments of the lifting gear and evaluate the slinging methods to ensure safe operating practices.
