Designed for all individuals whose work involves Manual Handling, lifting, pushing and of pulling goods. This highly practical course that provides techniques for risk limitation in manual handling.

Course outline

The qualifying learner is capable of understanding:

  • what manual handling is and why it is so important to follow correct procedure
  • the anatomy of the spine and human movements
  • the risks associated with the handling of loads
  • the principles of safe handling
  • manual handling techniques
  • ergonomics in the workplace
  • risk assessments.
