Course outline

To understand the reasons for using work permits.
To explain the definitions of confined space, hot work, excavation and working at heights.
To be able to list the type of work permits used on site.
To explain the responsibilities of the permit issuer, permit holder and the artisans.
To be able to complete, issue and close off a work permit.
Be able to explain the correct actions if a work permit requires extension, hand over and other issues relating to a work permit.
