This programme is aimed at candidates who undertake the picking and packing functions within the warehouse. The course content delivered covers picking, packing and stock-taking processes and procedures, the effect that incorrect packing has on the customer and the effect that incorrect picking and packing has on business profitability.

The qualifying candidate will be competent in:
- explaining the relationship between business and the customer
- displaying appropriate behaviour when interacting with customers
- identifying appropriate areas for packing stock
- moving stock to and packing stock in identified locations
- preventing shrinkage and losses while moving, packing and maintaining stock
- understanding the effect of incorrect picking on the business
- understanding the different organisational packing containers and their uses
- understanding the different stock in the DC/warehouse, their characteristics and the best methods of packing them
- identifying and understanding the different methods/machinery/equipment for picking in the organisation
- identifying the different problems that could be encountered when picking stock and to whom they must be reported
- tagging/identifying stock/containers
- minimising damages when picking, packing and moving stock
- understanding the impact of damages on the organisation
- understanding the effect of shrinkage and losses has on profits and on employees
- preparing stock for stock count
- counting stock
- performing post stock count housekeeping functions.
