15 Dec, 2021

During the second quarter of 2021, NOSA officially became part of SafetyCloud. More than 70 years after pioneering the South African health and safety industry, we are still the number one choice for businesses looking to upskill their employees, build proud safety cultures and stay compliant as well as students looking to start and grow their careers.

SafetyCloud offers more than 100 safety-related training courses at 15 state-of-the-art campuses nationwide, including SAMTRAC, the world’s leading training course in workplace risk management. Our students enjoy face-to-face study from some of the best occupational health and safety trainers who are expertly versed in diverse areas of occupational health and safety. This makes for work-ready graduates who can tackle work responsibilities with confidence.

Through NOSA skills development programmes, our learners are empowered to add real value and make a visible difference to professional operations around health and safety in the work environment. NOSA colleges are positioned in the following locations across South Africa:

At SafetyCloud, we strive to maintain a supportive on-campus atmosphere that encourages skills development, personal growth and positive learning experiences. Our classrooms are a perfect size, allowing for effective instruction with innovative programmes to be the focal point of our institution.

Students who enrol at flagship NOSA colleges in Centurion, Westville and Tyger Valley enjoy additional on-campus facilities that support their studies. This includes the availability of Online Hubs and Digital Kiosks with computer access for students without personal laptops and PCs to complete assignments, watch webinars and facilitate other digital elements of their courses. Students enjoy internet use, desktop email, printing, scanning and access to software that they could otherwise not acquire, bringing greater convenience to their training experience.

For the duration of a student’s studies at a NOSA College, they are immersed in classroom-based instruction that balances practical and theoretical knowledge, encouraging learners to develop their professional skills to the maximum. Our objective is to turn out high-end cognitive professionals who will shape the future of Occupational Health and Safety in South Africa.

As we prepare to welcome students safely to class, all our colleges follow the strictest COVID-19 protocols to prevent the spread of infections and allow students to study with peace of mind. All students, staff and visitors to the campuses undergo COVID-19 screenings, temperature checks and desks are spaced apart to maintain a safe distance between students and lecturers. Individuals are also required to wear face masks at all times above their mouths and noses, as well as sanitise their hands with a 70% alcohol-based hand sanitiser before classroom entry.

At SafetyCloud we endeavour to produce well-rounded professionals who can flourish in the challenging world of health and safety. SafetyCloud remains the number one choice for training tomorrow’s health and safety professionals today, with our 15 nationwide NOSA colleges providing information-rich courses that help to bring that goal to life.
