NOSA, is proud to announce the winners of its 2025/6 NOSA Regional Awards, celebrating outstanding achievement in workplace safety across our global customer base. The awards recognise the organisations and individuals who have excelled in health, safety and environmental risk management, and who, through the NOSA Five Star Systems, are building safer, more resilient and compliant working environments.
The NOSA Five Star Systems are a measure of real-world safety leadership and the global gold standard for occupational health, safety and environmental risk management. Companies achieving Five Star status demonstrate exceptional SHE performance, setting the benchmark for safety excellence. Each regional winner has shown exactly that.
The NOSA Regional Awards are anchored by the unique scoring outcomes of a NOSA 5 Star audit. Beyond a pass mark, the audit provides a detailed, element-by-element picture of compliance and effort, allowing NOSA to recognise genuine, sustained performance year after year. The review period runs from 1 April to 31 March of the following year, and the regional rounds are held ahead of the national NOSCARS so that regional Sector Industrial Category (SIC) winners can progress to the international competition and be considered for NOSCAR status.
How the awards work
Entries into the systems competition are made per 5 Star system, per SIC, with winners announced on both the NOSA Five Star System (green stars) and the NOSA Integrated Five Star System (platinum stars). The green stars represent six programme categories; the platinum stars represent seven, adding environmental management to the safety and health disciplines. Alongside the systems competition, individual performance recognition awards are open to every client with a valid grading, including NOSCAR companies, celebrating the risk managers, safety officers, medical practitioners and leaders who advance safety performance every day.
The winners of each regional SIC progress to the international competition at NOSCARS, where the top company per SIC is chosen. Those that also meet the NOSCAR criteria (a DIFR of 0.8 or lower and an effort score of 95% or higher) earn NOSCAR status, the highest mark of excellence in the HSE industry.
