The winter school term is here and the issue of disadvantaged children who might not be able to afford to buy their own warm winter jackets becomes even more important.
In our Annual Winter Coat Drive, warm clothing is donated to underprivileged students. This year, Cosmoore Primary School in Pietermaritzburg was chosen as this year’s recipient. Many of the school’s students come from low-income homes that cannot afford to buy winter clothing. The jackets and jerseys donated are not only keeping learners warm and happy throughout the day but helping them stay focused in class while reducing their risk of becoming ill from extreme cold.
The project was headed up by SafetyCloud’s Training Contractor Facilitator, Cherylle Simchowitz who is dedicated to sharing warmth one jacket at a time. The kids were thrilled with their new clothes and their bright smiles proved to be the cherry on top of a successful charitable endeavour.
